Sleep is essential to our health and wellbeing and without it we can quickly develop symptoms such as irritability, stress, depression, high blood pressure, poor concentration, failing memory and even the risk of diabetes.
If you don’t get enough sleep you may also find that you are putting on weight, this is because lack of sleep affects your metabolism and you may have an increased appetite
Sleep disorders are on the increase as people lead more stressful lives today. Juggling work, family responsibilities and a million other things mean that there is less time for sleep, and when you do go to bed you can end up lying awake your head spinning as you work out how you are going to fit everything in the next day!

Zolpidem is used to treat insomnia for short periods of time. It can be used for jet lag or shift workers who frequently experience disruptions to their sleep patterns. It’s a hypnotic drug and shouldn’t be taken for long periods.
The effects of Zolpidem can be felt the next day and cause drowsiness, so it’s a very powerful drug and should only be taken if really needed. Restless legs is a complaint suffered by mostly women and those of middle age. It can be really uncomfortable and cause you to lose a lot of sleep over it. The symptoms can be anything from a tingling or crawling sensation to a dull ache. Up to 15% of the population suffer from restless legs and many don’t seek medical advice.
